Charles III officially proclaimed King at ceremony in London

King Charles III King Charles III was officially proclaimed monarch on Saturday after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, in the first Accession Council ceremony to be held in 70 years. The council, made up of 200 Privy Counsellors-primarily current and former politicians and other dignities-proclaimed Charles III's ascension to the throne in the state apartments of St. James's Palace London. When Charles become the King his wife Camilla will become the Queen consort. There'll also be changes in the titles of other members of the royal family, Prince William will become the Duke of Cornwall and in the time will be invested as the Prince of Wales . The news came from Balmoral that she was having treatment or that indeed they were unable to help her majesty anymore. A few moments ago Buckingham palace announced the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The palace just issued the statement, it says the Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King that is Charles and the Queen consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow. The Queen at 96, 70 years as a Queen, 70 years of service, an extraordinary life, which is incredibly difficult to put into words.
